
Mad Ants Acquire Ryan Wittman

Fort Wayne, IN (February 1, 2011)- The Fort Wayne Mad Ants announced today that they have acquired Ryan Wittman from the available player pool.
Wittman, a 6-7 guard out of Cornell University, started the season playing overseas in Italy where he averaged 14.5 points per game in 14 games. As a senior at Cornell he averaged 17.5 points per game and was named Ivy League Player of the Year along with Honorable Mention All-American honors. He shot 43% from behind the three point arc and holds the record for most 3 point field goals made in a season (109).
Wittman fills the roster spot of Wayne Chism who was released last week due to a back injury. Wittman will join the team this week and is expected to play on Thursday night as the Mad Ants take on the Austin Toros in a 7:00pm game at the Memorial Coliseum.
