Wichita, KS- The Wichita Thunder of the Central Hockey League announced Monday that goaltender Ryan MacDonald has received an offer play overseas and has been placed on waivers.
MacDonald received an offer to play in Germany, where he was a year ago with Lausitzer. In 11 games with Wichita, MacDonald was 7-4-0 with a 3.15 goals against and a save percentage of .884. Coach McClelland said he got a call Monday morning and is actively looking for a replacement.
The Thunder head west to face the Arizona Sundogs on Wednesday night for the first time this season. Wichita will not return to the Air Capital until Sunday, January 22nd against the Texas Brahmas. For tickets, call 755-SEAT, visit the INTRUST Bank Arena box office or online at www.selectaseat.com.
