Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans opened the week with a 5-4 loss to the Tulsa Oilers on Monday afternoon. The loss keeps the Americans one point out of first place in the Berry Conference behind the idle Wichita Thunder.

Americans 4 Missouri 6
The Missouri Mavericks broke a 4-4 tie in the third period picking up their first win of the season against the Allen Americans, with a 6-4 decision at the Independence Event Center. CHL All Star Andrew Courtney had two goals in the third to lead the way for the Mavericks. The Americans are 2-1-0 against Missouri this season and will play one more time in Allen on March 10th.

Americans 5 Tulsa 2
The Americans jumped out to a 3-0 first period lead, and never looked back beating the Tulsa Oilers 5-2 on Saturday night. Jeff Martins and Bruce Graham each had two goals for the Americans, who beat Tulsa for the first time this season. .
