LAST NIGHT'S GAME

Charlotte 81, Minnesota 68 The Lynx couldn't complete the home-and-home series sweep of Charlotte on Thursday night in their second game under new head coach Carolyn Jenkins. Minnesota tied the score with just over four minutes to go, but costly turnovers hurt the Lynx down the stretch as they did all game. The Lynx committed 23 turnovers to only 12 for Charlotte. Tangela Smith led the Sting, scoring 21 points and pulling down five rebounds. Sheri Sam also had a nice outing with 17 points and a game-high six assists. Seimone Augustus led the Lynx with 19 points and seven rebounds. Lynx center Vanessa Hayden had one of her strongest efforts of the season with 17 points and nine boards.

TONIGHT'S GAME Minnesota at Chicago - Friday, July 28, at UIC Pavilion (7:00 p.m.)

The Minnesota Lynx will travel to the Windy City for their second match-up with Chicago in ten days. In their last meeting, Amber Jacobs had the golden touch as she was perfect from the field and the line and scored a career-high 24 points. Rookie Candice Dupree, Chicago's leading scorer, led the Sky with 14 points, just surpassing her season average of 13.2 ppg. Minnesota will look to improve on its 8-4 all-time record against first year teams, while the Sky will look for their fourth win in their franchise's young history.

LYNX WATCH PARTIES

Now Lynx fans won't have to miss Lynx games, even when they are on the road. On four dates this season the Lynx will hold Watch Parties at the Naismith Lounge in Target Center's NBA City Restaurant so fans can watch the Lynx play their away games. Festivities include the Lynx game on 35 TV's, 2 for 1 on all drinks and half priced appetizers throughout the game. Also, fans will get the chance to win Lynx merchandise, courtside Lynx tickets and NBA City gift certificates. The next Watch Party is July 28 when the Lynx play at Chicago. Watch Parties will also be held on July 30, August 8, and August 13.

TV/RADIO BROADCAST

All games can be heard on the radio home of the Lynx on BOB 106 with Brian Sieman calling the action. Thursday's game can also be seen on Fox Sports Net North with Marney Gellner and Andrea Lloyd Curry making the call.
