OTTAWA - RHP Jason Anderson joined the Lynx pitching staff today, after being assigned to Ottawa by the Lynx parent club, the Philadelphia Phillies. He was signed as a free agent yesterday and fills a roster spot left vacant when John Ennis was placed on the disabled list and Brian Mazone was released yesterday.

Anderson, 27, started the season in the Chicago Cubs organization but has not appeared in a regular season game. He has a career record of 41-29 with a 3.26 ERA and 34 saves in seven Minor League seasons. He made his Major League debut in 2003 with the New York Yankees. In parts of three Major League seasons with the Yankees, Mets and Indians, Anderson is 2-0 and a 6.39 ERA in 32 games.

This is the first season the Lynx are the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. The Lynx Box Office is Open Monday to Friday from 10 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 10 am to 4 pm. Ticket information can be found at www.ottawalynx.com or by calling 613 747-LYNX (5969).
