Buffalo Bisons News Release
The Buffalo Bisons today announced that they will hold an Opening fridaynightbash!â¢, sponsored by TimeWarner Cable and Seneca Gaming Corporation, on Friday, May 11 at 7:05 p.m. against the Rochester Red Wings. Along with a great night of events, the team has rescheduled many of the festivities that were lost with the postponement of the team's home opener on April 5.
"It was disappointing to lose our Opening Day, but now we have the chance to restart the season with a great Friday night at Dunn Tire Park," said Mike Buczkowski, Vice President/General Manager of the Buffalo Bisons. "We are honored to have Carl Andolina, a model of bravery and inspiration, to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
"The team is off to a great start, and now that the weather has improved, we're ready to start another exciting summer in downtown Buffalo."
Buffalo Police Department officer Carl Andolina will throw out the first pitch and the Bisons will hold an auction of player-autographed Community Outreach for Patty Parete caps during the game. Buffalo police officers will also be selling $10 raffle tickets at each of Dunn Tire Park's gates for a grand prize drawing of four 2007 season tickets during the game, donated by the Bisons. All proceeds will benefit Community Outreach for Patty Parete.
The night is also the team's first fridaynightbash!⢠of the season, sponsored by TimeWarner Cable and Seneca Gaming Corporation. There will be a Pre Game Tent Party beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a live deejay and food and drink specials. During the game, children can meet with Arnold from the hit kids show "Hey Arnold" in the park's concourse. After the game, fans will be treated to a spectacular Pyrotechnics Show, presented by HSBC Bank USA, N.A.
The game is the Bisons first against the IL North leading Rochester Red Wings. All Thruway Series games in 2007 are sponsored by Cricket Wireless.
