
Lunkers Commit Seven Errors in Loss to St. Cloud

ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud River Bats scored five runs in the Bottom of the 1st inning on five Lunker errors, as the River Bats would go on to a 7-4 win over the Brainerd Lakes Area Lunkers Friday night at Joe Faber Field. St. Cloud added two more runs in the 2nd inning. the Lunkers bounced back in the 4th inning, scoring four runs, but would be retired in order for the next five consecutive innings.
The win for St. Cloud goes to Matt Iannazzo, who pitched five innings for the River Bats, giving up four runs. He also struck out five.
John McLeod takes the loss for the Lunkers as he falls to (2-3). He only pitched two-thirds of an inning, giving up five runs, with only one of them earned.
Jason Forjet pitched the next six and a third for the Lunkers, striking out seven and giving up two runs.
Travis Unthank picked up his seventh save for the River Bats.
Steven Brault went 2 for 4 for the Lunkers. Wade Wass got a double and an RBI on the game.
The Lunkers and River Bats are back in action Saturday night at Joe Faber Field. First pitch is set for 6:05.
