Augusta Lynx News Release

The Augusta Lynx announced today that defenseman Eric Lundberg has been recalled to the American Hockey League's Albany River Rats.

Marking his third stint with the Rats this year, the 22-year-old defenseman has appeared in 15 games with the River Rats, registering one assist with a +2 rating and six minutes in penalties. The Vernon, Conn. native was placed on the River Rats' clear day list, making him eligible to participate in Albany's remaining contests and any playoff games.

With the Lynx this year, Lundberg has appeared in 41 games for the club, scoring three goals and totaling 10 points with 46 PIMs and a +1 rating.

"It's good to see Eric getting his chances at the AHL level," said Lynx head coach Bob Ferguson. "Augusta is a place where players can come and still get good exposure to American League teams, and we've proved that this year with numerous call-ups."

Augusta returns to action at home this weekend with a pair of games against the Florida Everblades on Friday and Saturday, both at 7:35 pm. Tickets are on sale now through the team office at (706) 724-4ICE, all TicketMaster locations, and on line at www.TicketMaster.com. Radio coverage begins with the Classic Stucco and Stone Pre-Game Show one half-hour before faceoff on your Home for Lynx Hockey, NEWSTALKSPORTS 1630.
