Fresno Falcons News Release

FRESNO, Calif. - In a match-up of the top two teams in the ECHL's Pacific Division, the first-place and playoff-bound Fresno Falcons will be wearing jerseys to celebrate St. Patrick's Day when they host the second-place Long Beach Ice Dogs tomorrow and Saturday at Save Mart Center. Both games begin at 7 p.m.

The Falcons look to avenge Wednesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Ice Dogs tomorrow night when the first 2,500 fans will receive a St. Patrick's Day puck courtesy of Supercuts, KSEE 24, and 95.7 The Fox.

Also tomorrow, head coach and general manager Matt Thomas will host his Friday Night Pre-game Chalk Talk on Save Mart Center's concourse at 6:20 p.m. The coach will talk about keys to the game and the strategy he wants his players to use as they try to defeat the Dogs. The coach's Friday Night Pre-game Chalk Talk will also be held before Fresno's home games on March 31 and Apr. 7.

On Saturday, the first 2,000 fans will receive a Fraser Clair bobblehead doll courtesy of Citizen's Business Bank, CBS 47, and Y101. Following the game, the team's St. Patrick's Day jerseys will be auctioned off with a portion of the proceeds to benefit Community Food Bank.

Fresno's lead in the Pacific Division standings over Long Beach stands at nine points with two games in hand as the weekend begins. The Falcons have already clinched a berth in the Kelly Cup Playoffs and are in search of their first division title in the ECHL.

Individual tickets are on sale now for both games at all Ticketmaster outlets and Save Mart Center's box office with prices ranging from $8 - $23. For complete ticket information and an arena map of Save Mart Center, visit www.fresnofalcons.com/singletickets.html, or contact the Falcons front office directly at (559) 485-PUCK (7825).
