Lugnuts to Hold Grand Slam School Day on Tuesday

LANSING, Mich. - The Lansing Lugnuts will hold the first of two Grand Slam School Days on Tuesday, April 23rd: a special 10:35 a.m. game custom-designed for schools.

Grand Slam School Days serve as a unique way to educate and reward students for all of their hard work during the school year, offering a positive end-of-the-year event that lets everyone enjoy a day at the ballpark.

Teachers are provided with baseball-related educational curriculum materials that encourage learning and adhere to the College and Career Ready Standards approved by the Michigan State Board of Education.

Each Grand Slam School Day additionally features the "Junior Press Program," selected students from each school are granted special media access, receive a VIP tour and take part in a press conference with Lansing Lugnuts players.

Each school will also have two teachers invited to a special educators' buffet in The Clubhouse at suite level, providing them a networking opportunity with other educators while enjoying food and beverages compliments of Dean Transportation and Dean Trailways.
