
Los Angeles Grabs Win Over Bakersfield

Los Angeles, CA -The Los Angeles D-Fenders sealed the win with a defensive fourth quarter, defeating the Jam 122-109. Los Angeles took their sixth win of eight matchups this season against the Jam, Tuesday at STAPLES Center.
Los Angeles came out strong in the first quarter with a two point edge over their opponent, 32-30. Dar Tucker started out the game leading the D-Fenders with 13 points at the close of the first quarter. Bakersfield's Will Daniels led his team with 13 points, while Brian Butch jumped out with eight rebounds early on.
The Jam rallied back in the second quarter taking the lead with just under eight minutes left in the period. The visiting team stretched their advantage to 10 points with 5:42 left in the half but Los Angeles was able to cut their deficit to four, finishing the half trailing 61-57.
Daniels tallied nine points in the second quarter, leading his team with 22 at the half. Tucker continued to carry the D-Fenders with 15 points and six rebounds going into the second half.
Bakersfield maintained the lead in the third quarter, closing the period with a 93-85 advantage. D-Fenders Dar Tucker and Ryan Forehan-Kelly finished the quarter with 17 points apiece. Daniels totaled 29 points for the Jam at the end of the third.
D-Fenders' Joe Crawford hit back to back three pointers late in the fourth, giving his team a 103-102 lead. Los Angeles forced 15 turnovers in the game, resulting in 24 points in their favor. With only three points at the end of the third period, Crawford went on a 19-point run, closing the final quarter with 23 points.
In addition to Crawford's 23 points, Forehan-Kelly grabbed 19 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists. Frank Robinson chipped in with 21 points and seven steals for the D-Fenders. Daniels led the Jam with a game high 31 points, while teammate Brian Butch notched a double-double with 14 points and 20 rebounds.
