Sioux Falls' Reggie Williams Signs With Golden State Warriors

NEW YORK, March 2, 2010 - The Golden State Warriors today signed Reggie Williams of the Sioux Falls Skyforce. Williams' is the 16th GATORADE Call-Up of the 2009-10 season and joins 75 other NBA players with NBA D-League experience.

Williams, a 6-6 forward, has appeared in 31 games for Sioux Falls this season, averaging an NBA D-League high 26.4 points to go with 5.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists. He has scored in double figures in 30 games. Williams has led the team in scoring on 20 occasions and in rebounding six times. He scored a season-high 43 points twice - Jan. 22 in a 121-119 home victory over the Tulsa 66ers and Feb. 5 in a 116-112 home victory over the Idaho Stampede. Williams, who earned NBA D-League Performer of the Week honors on Dec. 28, and the NBA D-League Player of the Month for February, was selected to play for the East team in the 2010 NBA D-League All-Star Game, Williams finished with 17 points in the game.

A four-year contributor at Virginia Military Academy, Williams averaged 27.8 points, 9.7 rebounds and 3.9 assists during his senior season. He finished his collegiate career as the all-time leading scorer in VMI, Big South Conference and Virginia State Division I history with 2,556 points, while ranking fourth all-time in VMI history in rebounds (811), fourth in thre-point field goals made (195), sixth in assists (364) and sixth in steals (172).

Williams is expected to join the Warriors todayand be available tonight when the team faces the Miami Heat at American Airlines Arena in Florida.
