
Loons Postseason Bound, Playoff Tickets on Sale Now

MIDLAND, Mich. - The Great Lakes Loons clinched a spot in the upcoming Midwest League playoffs on Thursday night, with a 3-0 victory over the Dayton Dragons at Dow Diamond. This is the third postseason appearance for the Loons in the seven-year history of the franchise, following playoff runs in 2009 and 2010. Great Lakes will begin their 2013 playoff run at Dow Diamond on Wednesday, September 4. Game time is 7:05 p.m. The Loons will play games two and three of the three-game series on the road.
Tickets are now available at the Loons box office or by phone at 989-837-BALL on Friday beginning at 9 a.m. and again during normal business hours on Tuesday, after the Labor Day holiday weekend. Tickets are also available anytime online at Loons.com.
For the postseason, the Loons are offering premiere box seats, which will include the first few rows of each section. Those seats are available for purchase at $13.50 per ticket. Reserved box seats are available for $10 and lawn seats are available for $7.
The Loons are currently 1 1/2 games behind the first-place Bowling Green Hot Rods in the second-half Eastern Division standings. Bowling Green won against the South Bend Silver Hawks on Thursday night. Great Lakes can still bring home the second-half Eastern Division championship. The division champion will play the Fort Wayne TinCaps (first-half wildcard) in the first round of the playoffs and the second-half Eastern Division wildcard will play South Bend (first-half division champion).
Great Lakes will close out their regular season home schedule on Friday night with the last game of a three-game series against Dayton. The Loons Regular Season Finale will feature an All-You-Can-Eat Picnic and a Postgame Fireworks Loontacular, powered by Dow Corning. Game time is 7:05 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m.
