Great Lakes Loons News Release
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - A beautiful Monday afternoon at Bowling Green Ballpark turned rainy as a steady downfall in the early evening hours prompted the postponement of the Loons' series-opener against the Hot Rods. A doubleheader has been scheduled for Tuesday to make up for Monday's rainout. The first of two seven-inning games begins at 6 p.m. EDT with an approximate 30-minute intermission between the two games.
This is already the second doubleheader of the Loons' 12-game road swing. The Loons are 3-1 in doubleheader games this season.
Coverage on ESPN 100.9-FM begins at 5:40 p.m. eastern. For updates on the expected pitching matchup for the twin bill, visit www.Loons.com.
The Great Lakes Loons have been the Single-A partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers since the team's inception in 2007. Dow Diamond serves as the team's home and also houses the Michigan Baseball Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity, and ESPN 100.9-FM.
