CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The Lookouts and BayBears played two on Friday night at AT&T Field. The Lookouts took the first game, 7-4, while the BayBears took the second game, 4-2. In the first game, the Lookouts quickly jumped out to a 3-0 lead. Elian Herrera began the rally in the first frame with a double off of Mobile starter Tyler Skaggs (0-1) and scampered home on a subsequent double from Hector Gimenez. Scott Van Slyke then drilled a two-run shot to augment the Lookouts' lead. Mobile scored a run in the second on a Jacob Elmore sacrifice fly and added another run on a Paul Goldschmidt solo shot in the third. Hector Gimenez led off the bottom portion of the third inning with a double and promptly made his way home on a subsequent Scott Van Slyke RBI single. The Lookouts scored another run in the fourth on a Gimenez single, but the BayBears kept themselves in the game with two more runs in the fifth frame. A bases-loaded single by Ryan Wheeler, followed by a Taylor Harbin sacrifice fly, accounted for the two runs. Hanging by a one-run lead, the Lookouts added some much-needed insurance runs. In the fifth inning, Brian Cavazos-Galvez legged out a triple and made his way home on an RBI single from Gorman Erickson. An RBI double from Scott Van Slyke in the sixth put the score at its final resting place, 7-4. Shawn Tolleson earned his fourth save of the season by throwing the final two frames of the seven-inning game in shutout fashion. Michael Antonini (8-8) was credited with the win for the Lookouts. In five innings, he surrendered two runs, seven hits, and two walks, while striking out five. The second game of the double-header also began with the Lookouts taking an early lead. Back-to-back doubles from Gimenez and Van Slyke gave the Lookouts a 1-0 lead. Mobile finally entered the scoreboard in the top of the fourth inning. Harbin led off with a walk and made his way to second on a subsequent Josh Ford single. After a Kyle Greene fly out, which advance Harbin to third, Lookouts third baseman Travis Denker committed a fielding error, allowing Harbin to score. After issuing two walks to lead off the fifth inning, Lookouts starting pitcher Chris Withrow was pulled from the game. Lookouts reliever Javier Solano then proceeded to surrender a single to Wheeler to give Mobile a 2-1 edge. The Lookouts tied up the score, 2-2, in the sixth inning on a wild pitch by Bryan Woodall. The game remained tied until the eleventh inning, when Jacob Elmore blasted a two-run shot for Mobile off of Ethan Martin (0-2). Billy Spottiswood was able to shut the door on the Lookouts in the bottom portion of the inning to earn his first save of the season.
