PEARL, MS - After a sixty-one minute rain delay, the M-Braves used a three-run third inning to defeat the Tennessee Smokies 5-4 in front of 3,114 fans at Trustmark Park.
Ernesto Mejia and Mycal Jones were responsible for four of the five M-Braves' runs, each plating two apiece. Jones and Antoan Richardson each had two hits in the game.
Richard Sullivan (3-4) worked three innings of relief to pick up the win. He gave up two runs, one earned, on four hits and one strikeout. Billy Bullock struck out the side in the ninth to notch his seventh save of the season.
Smokies starter Ryan Searle (2-1) went just three frames in the loss. He allowed four earned runs on five hits, four walks, and two strikeouts.
M-Braves starter Randall Delgado did not factor in the decision as he went just four innings and gave up two earned runs on six hits, three walks, and five strikeouts.
