
Longest Homestand Concludes With Last Blazer Battle

Blazer Wrap: The Tulsa Oilers conclude a six game homestand on Tuesday with their final game of the season against the Oklahoma City Blazers at 7:05 p.m. The Oilers then hit the road to play at Rapid City Friday at 8:05 p.m.; Rocky Mountain Saturday at 8:05 p.m.; and New Mexico Sunday afternoon at 4:15 p.m.
Not Bad: Two out of three ain't bad and that's what the Oilers had last week. They won two of their three games, beating the Oklahoma City Blazers 4-1, dropping a tough 5-4 decision to the Mississippi RiverKings and then winning awild 6-5 game against the Wichita Thunder.
Number Two: With a bullet...right winger Jeff Christian had a goal and six assists last week moving him into second place in the CHL scoring race. He has 27 goals and 48 assists for 75 points. Christian trails only Odessa's Sebastien Thinel who has 86 points.
Other Streaks: Christian wasn't the Oiler with points in all three games last week. Five players had points in all three games. Brendon Hodge had one goal and four assists; Mike Beausoleil had one goal and three assists; Jake Riddle had goals in all three games and also had one assist; defenseman Matt Smyth had assists in all three games.
Ring LaBelle: Lucas LaBelle was the only Oiler with a multiple goal game last week. His two goal performance against Oklahoma City was the first of his pro career and also his first game winning goal of his pro career.
