Long Island Nets Acquire Davion Warren

LONG ISLAND - The Long Island Nets, the NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, have acquired guard Davion Warren from the available player pool.

Warren (6'6", 190) appeared in 17 regular season games (one start) during the 2022-23 season with College Park, recording averages of 5.4 points and 3.1 rebounds in 11.1 minutes per game, and in 13 NBA G League Showcase Cup games with the Skyhawks, averaging 7.6 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 14.8 minutes per game. The Buffalo, N.Y., native also played in 22 games (three starts) internationally in Mexico during the 2022-23 season with Rayos de Hermosillo of the Circuito de Baloncesto de la Costa del Pacifico, where he recorded averages of 15.5 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 22.9 minutes per game. Prior to beginning his professional career, Warren played two seasons (2019-21) at Hampton University in Virginia, where he appeared in 59 games (51 starts) and averaged 14.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.3 steals in 30.7 minutes per game and earned All-Big South First Team honors as a junior. He then transferred to Texas Tech for his senior season (2021-22), where he appeared in 37 games (33 starts) while recording averages of 9.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.4 steals in 23.8 minutes per game.
