PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Miami Marlins announced a transaction that impacts their Double-A affiliate Jacksonville Suns roster prior to tonight's game against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos at Pensacola Bayfront Stadium at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Right-handed relief pitcher Blake Logan has been transferred from High-A Jupiter to Jacksonville. With the Hammerheads, Logan went 0-2 with a 5.40 ERA in 12 relief appearances with one save. Logan began the season with Single-A Greensboro, where he was 1-1 with a 5.93 ERA in 10 relief appearances with one save.
Logan was selected by the Marlins in the 13th round of the 2012 draft out of Eastern Oklahoma State Junior College, and this is the first call-up to Double-A in his career.
The Suns roster now stands at 25 active players and a revised roster is attached.
Tonight the Suns will send out right-hander Jose Urena (6-6, 4.33) while the Wahoos will counter with a right-hander of their own in Ben Lively (0-1, 2.89).
