Lions Clash with Stampeders in Saturday's Concert Kickoff Featuring 50 Cent & Presented by BC Federation of Labour

(Vancouver) - We've been 'Patiently Waiting' for Saturday and a very special start to our 70th Season home slate. The BC Lions (0-1-0) are back at Save-On-Foods Field on June 15 to clash with the Calgary Stampeders (1-0-0) in our Concert Kickoff home opener presented by BC Federation of Labour. Kickoff is at 4:00 pm.
This year's pre-game fun features Grammy and Emmy-Award winner 'Curtis 50 Cent Jackson who takes to the stage inside BC Place at 3:00 pm. A limited number of tickets remain for Saturday's festivities and can be purchased HERE.
The Saturday spectacle begins with our Backyard Party presented by PlayNow Sports at 10:30 am on Terry Fox Plaza and extending to Robson and Beatty Streets.
The party includes an obstacle course and facepainting for the kids as well as plenty of food and drink options including $5 Molson Coors beverages for those 19+. Fans will also be treated to a live musical performance from Famous Players Band.
The Lions and Stampeders clash in the first of three regular season meetings in 2024 after locking horns in each of the last two Western Semi-Finals at BC Place, both won by the hometown Leos. Dating back to the start of 2022, the Lions have prevailed in four of six regular season matchups between these longstanding division rivals.
With over 50,000 fans coming through the gates on Saturday, the Lions are proud to welcome the largest regular season crowd across the CFL since September 30, 2011 when the newly renovated BC Place re-opened its doors to a crowd of 50,213.
