
Lindstrom to Represent Canada at Hlinka-Gretzky Cup

Calgary, AB - The Medicine Hat Tigers will be represented at the Hlinka-Gretzky Cup this summer in Slovakia & Czechia.
Centre & Rookie of the Year Cayden Lindstrom (Chetwynd, BC) has been named to the roster after a stellar rookie season in the Western Hockey League where he was named a finalist for WHL Rookie of the Year after suiting up in 61 games and scoring 41 points (19 goals, 23 assists).
Lindstrom has worn the red & white before, representing Canada at the U17 tournament in Langley, BC this past fall. While playing for Team White, Lindstrom recorded two goals and two assists in six games played at the tournament.
He says can't wait to represent the Tigers and his country once again.
"It's an honour to just get the call, always excitement, it's always good to put on that jersey again. I'm ready to play any role that I'm given and just adapt to any situation that comes up for me."
Prior to the start of the tournament, Lindstrom & Team Canada will practice at the Ice Palace in Budapest, Hungary from July 23-27, and will face off against Hungary's national under-20 team on July 27. It will also take on Czechia on July 29 at 12:30 p.m. ET/9:30 a.m. PT at Fosfa Arena in Breclav as part of its pre-tournament schedule.

Canada will open the 2023 Hlinka Gretzky Cup against Finland on July 31 at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT. It will also take on co-host Slovakia and Switzerland in the preliminary round before the tournament concludes with the medal games on Aug. 5.
