Lincoln Edges Explorers 2-1

Lincoln, NE-----The Lincoln Saltdogs scored on a sacrifice fly by Daniel Carroll in the seventh inning to give Lincoln a 2-1 win over the Explorers in the final game of the three-game series at Haymarket Park.

The Explorers took a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning when Yusuke Inoguchi scored from third base on a wild pitch by Lincoln pitcher Mike Burns.

Lincoln tied the game in the fifth inning on a two-out solo home run by Carroll who drove in the two Lincoln runs.

Jason Jarvis pitched a complete game for the Explorers, but took the loss with his record dropping to 4-3. Burns got the win for Lincoln with RJ Rodriguez pitching the ninth inning to record his 12th save of the season.

The Explorers will return home Thursday to begin a four-game series against the Central Division leading Wichita Wingnuts at Lewis and Clark Park. Game time will be 7:05.
