
Lima, Yueill Called up to U.S. Men's National Team

SAN JOSE, Calif. - San Jose Earthquakes defender Nick Lima and midfielder Jackson Yueill have been called to represent the U.S. Men's National Team in a pair of Concacaf Nations League matches. The USMNT will face Cuba on Oct. 11 (4 p.m. PT; FS1/UniMas/TUDN) at Audi Field in Washington D.C., and Canada on Oct. 15 (4:30 p.m. PT; ESPN2/UniMas/TUDN) at BMO Field in Toronto.
Lima and Yueill will meet up with USMNT players and staff following the Quakes' Decision Day matchup against the Portland Timbers on Oct. 6.
Lima has made 23 appearances for San Jose this season, including 20 starts. He signed for the Earthquakes as a Homegrown Player ahead of the 2017 season and has since recorded five goals and five assists in 79 appearances. Lima has tallied three assists in eight prior appearances for the U.S. National Team.
Yueill has set single-season career-highs in appearances (31), starts (28), goals (3) and assists (4) in 2019. Now in his third pro season out of UCLA, Yueill has registered three goals and eight assists in 65 total appearances. He has made three appearances for the USMNT, including a 90-minute performance against Uruguay on Sept. 11. He is one of six players age-eligible for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
Lima (Weeks 10, 14 and 21) and Yueill (Weeks 9, 12 and 19) have each been named to the MLS Team of the Week on three occasions in 2019.
