NEW YORK - The MLS Disciplinary Committee has found the Portland Timbers and Sporting Kansas City in violation of the mass confrontation policy in the 35th minute of their game on Sept. 29. Portland has violated the mass confrontation policy for a fourth time this season, and the organization and head coach Giovanni Savarese have been issued undisclosed fines. Kansas City has violated the mass confrontation policy for a second time this season, and the organization and head coach Peter Vermes have been issued undisclosed fines.
The MLS Disciplinary Committee issued an undisclosed fine to Portland Timbers forward Brian Fernández for failure to leave the field in a timely manner after receiving his red card in the 36th minute against Sporting Kansas City on Sept. 29.
The MLS Disciplinary Committee issued an undisclosed fine to Sporting Kansas City midfielder Ilie Sánchez for failure to leave the field in a timely manner after receiving his red card in the 83rd minute against the Portland Timbers on Sept. 29.
The MLS Disciplinary Committee has found New York City FC forward Ismael Tajouri-Shradi guilty of simulation/embellishment. Tajouri-Shradi has been issued an undisclosed fine for his actions in the 79th minute of NYCFC's match against the New England Revolution on Sept. 29.
The MLS Disciplinary Committee has found Colorado Rapids forward Diego Rubio guilty of simulation/embellishment. Rubio has been issued an undisclosed fine for his actions in the 64th minute of Colorado's match against FC Dallas on Sept. 29.
The MLS Disciplinary Committee has found Real Salt Lake midfielder Everton Luiz guilty of simulation/embellishment. Luiz has been issued an undisclosed fine for his actions in the 84th minute of Real Salt Lake's match against the Houston Dynamo on Sept. 29.
