Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The IronPigs (0-1) play Game 2 of a four-game, season-opening series against the Pawtucket Red Sox (1-0), the reigning International League Champions. With a 4-0 loss last night, the Pigs fell to 3-5 all-time on Opening Day and have now dropped 14 of their last 19 games against Pawtucket dating back to 9/1/13... The Paw Sox -- Boston's top affiliate -- has won three straight IL contests going back to their last two games in the 2014 Governors' Cup Finals with Durham... This challenging, season-opening homestand will conclude with three games against the reigning IL North Champion Syracuse Chiefs (81-62 in 2014).
RHP Chad Billingsley (DNP in '14) will start for LHV on a ML rehab appearance against RHP Keith Couch (8-2, 2.96 in AA in '14).
Tonight's features Friday Night Fireworks, presented by Celtic Stone Granite & Tile... First Pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
