Great Falls Voyagers News Release
The Chicago White Sox announced the following move Sunday, affecting the Great Falls Voyagers roster:
- LHP Ryan Riga promoted to Low-A Kannapolis
A 13th round pick by the White Sox this year out of Ohio State, Riga made seven appearances out of the Great Falls bullpen after arriving from the AZL White Sox on July 11. The southpaw posted a 1.50 ERA in those seven outings, covering 12.0 innings. The Fairfield, Ohio, native struck out 15 in his time with the Voyagers, for a strikeout rate of 11.3K/9 innings. The promotion makes Riga the second member of the White Sox 2015 draft class to reach Kannapolis, joining fellow southpaw Zack Erwin, who was promoted from Great Falls to the Intimidators on August 4.Â
The Voyagers active roster sits at 30 players, with three on the disabled list.
