New Britain Rock Cats News Release
The Rock Cats placed LHP Michael Tarsi on the Disabled List today with recurring soreness in his left shoulder.
The 25-year-old Danbury, CT native was selected by Minnesota out of the University of Connecticut in the 12th Round of the 2007 Draft. When healthy, the 6'8" / 202-pound southpaw has been effective this season for the Rock Cats. The lefty compiled a 3-0 mark (4.22 ERA) in 26 total appearances out of the New Britain bullpen in 2011. It is unlikely that Mike will return to action in New Britain with just 9 games remaining in the 2011 Regular Season.
