The Chicago Cubs have made the following moves that impact the Myrtle Beach Pelicans roster:

LHP Manuel Rondon has been assigned to Myrtle Beach from Double-A Tennessee

Rondon, a left-handed reliever, pitched with the Pelicans in 19 games in 2018, making one start. Over 34.1 innings, he struck out 40 and walked 22, while owning a 2-5 record and a 2.10 ERA. Opponents only hit .208 off of Rondon. In 2019, he started the season with Double-A Tennessee, going 2-3 with a 6.92 ERA. In 2016, the lefty was named the Northwest League Pitcher of the Year, going 6-1 with a 1.10 ERA in 12 starts with Short Season Low A Eugene. Rondon was acquired by the Cubs in a trade with the Los Angeles Angels in 2015 for catcher Rafael Lopez.

Rondon will wear No. 13. The Pelicans roster now sits at 25 active players with two players on the Injured List.
