
LHP Jarrett Casey Promoted to Charlotte

The Birmingham Barons and Chicago White Sox have announced that LHP Jarrett Casey has been promoted to Class AAA Charlotte. Roster at 24.
Casey, 26, will be making his Triple-A debut with the Knights after a stellar season with the Barons. After being promoted from Class A Winston-Salem to Birmingham on April 22nd, Casey went 1-0 with a 1.98 ERA (9 ER/41.0 IP) in 20 relief appearances. Casey led all Barons relievers in ERA and ranked second in the Southern League with a .184 (26-for-141) opponents batting average against.
Casey was selected by the White Sox in the 32nd round of the June 2010 First-Year Player Draft out of Northern Kentucky University where he earned All-Great Lakes Conference honors as a junior and senior.
