PEARL, MS -- LHP Ian Thomas has been activated off the disabled list in Triple-A Gwinnett and transferred to Double-A Mississippi.
Thomas, 27, began the season with the Atlanta Braves. With the big club, Thomas went 1-2 with a 4.22 ERA in 16 outings through the end of May. He struck out 13 in 10.2 innings. Thomas was optioned to Gwinnett on May 31 and went 0-1 with one save and a 3.95 ERA in six games for the G-Braves. On June 30, he was placed on the DL with left shoulder tendonitis. Thomas was signed by the Braves as a minor league free agent on May 21, 2012.
The Mississippi roster has 25 active players and 5 disabled.
