Zach Johnson's two-run double keyed a five-run rally in the sixth inning, and the Lexington Legends went on to a 5-2 win over the Charleston RiverDogs Thursday night at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. The loss ended Charleston's winning streak at 10 games.

The RiverDogs had taken a 1-0 lead on Tyler Austin's South Atlantic League-leading sixth homer of the year in the fourth inning. In the top of the sixth, Austin doubled and scored on Dante Bichette Jr.'s single to give the RiverDogs a 2-0 lead.

The Legends began their comeback in the bottom of the sixth when Justin Gominsky reached on an error by shortstop Anderson Feliz. Jordan Scott walked, and Johnson lined a double into the left field corner to score both runners and tie the game. Johnson has 26 RBI for the season, second in the league behind Matt Skole of Hagerstown, who has 27.

After Zachary Varce relieved starter Scottie Allen for Charleston, Matt Duffy grounded out, moving Johnson to third. Alex Todd drew a walk and Chris Epps reached on catcher's interference, loading the bases. Johnson came home on a sacrifice fly by Roberto Pena, giving the Legends the lead at 3-2. Drew Muren's single scored Todd, and a base hit by Delino DeShields Jr. brought Epps home with the final run of the game.

Jason Chowning (1-1), who relieved starter Mike Foltynewicz in the sixth inning, picked up the win. Dayan Diaz got the save, his second, after allowing one hit over the final two innings. Diaz hasn't allowed a run in 15 and one-third innings this season, and Chowning hasn't been touched for an earned run in eight and one-third innings.

Charleston has won two of three in the series, which concludes Friday. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
