
Legends' Balanced Scoring Proves to be Too Much for D-Fenders

EL SEGUNDO, CA - The Texas Legends took on the Los Angeles D-Fenders in their second game of the season on the road. The Legends used a balanced scoring attack to dominate the D-Fenders 130-108 and end their road trip 2-0.
The Legends took off fast and furious, outscoring Los Angeles 31-20 in the first. They took the lead early and relinquished it only once throughout four quarters. The Legends further proved their strength from outside, shooting 42% and 54% overall, but sealed the game on the boards. Texas grabbed 52 rebounds, 38 on the D-Fenders' end.
The Legends hit the 100-point mark in the third and continued to slowly pull away, extending the lead as far as 27. Los Angeles tightened up the defense in the fourth, holding the Legends to 25, but were unable to bridge the gap as the Legends took home their second straight road win.
Seven Legends players tallied double-digits on the night. Doron Lamb led the team with 23 points, 2 rebounds and 6 assists followed closely by Eric Griffin with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Damion James (18 points, 14 rebounds) and Bernard James (10 points, 11 rebounds) grabbed the first double-doubles of the Legends' season.
Lakers' assignees Xavier Henry and Jordan Clarkson led the D-Fenders with 33 and 28 points respectively.
