SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The Santa Cruz Warriors fell to the Iowa Energy 102-100 in the second game of a back to back home-stand, after winning Friday night's contest against the Los Angeles D-Fenders.

Santa Cruz was led by James Michael McAdoo, who had a game high of 6 blocked shots, and logged a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Sean Kilpatrick had 19 points coming off the bench, while Carrick Felix, Joe Alexander, and Elliot Williams all scored in double figures.

Iowa was paced by Damien Wilkins who led all scorers with 30 points and grabbed a game-high 11 boards, posting his second double-double of the early season. Patrick Christopher scored 23 points, while Diante Garrett scored 13 points and dished out 8 assists.

The Energy held an early, two-point lead after the first quarter with 6 points each from Patrick Christopher and Hassan Whiteside. Wilkins came alive to score 12 of his 30 points in the second quarter to extend the lead to four points at the half.

Carrick Felix and James McAdoo combined for 31 points in the third quarter to give the team the lead, holding Iowa by 3 points heading into the fourth quarter.

After five lead changes in the fourth quarter, Kalin Lucas made the go-ahead free-throw with :15.0 left on the clock to give Iowa the boost over Santa Cruz. With :02.0 left on the clock, the Warriors tried a last chance three-point shot for the win, but the Iowa's defense stood tall to clinch the victory.

The tightly contested game saw 18 lead changes and 18 ties. The Warriors shot 43.7% from the field compared to Iowa's 42.4%. The Energy held the edge on second chance points (28-16), but nearly matched the Warriors in several other statistical categories. Both teams had 48 rebounds, 16 total turnovers, and 9 steals a piece. Santa Cruz had more assists (27-15) and had more blocked shots (8-5).
