Texas Legends News Release

Frisco, TX (February 2, 2011) - The Texas Legends announced today some special events coinciding the Super Bowl in North Texas with this weekend's back-to-back Legends games at HP Court inside Dr Pepper Arena.

On Saturday night, the Legends will host the Tulsa 66ers in the first nationally televised home game in team history. The contest, which will air on VERSUS, is one of five televised games for Texas this season. Along with three games on VERSUS, the Legends will have two games against the Austin Toros shown on Fox Sports Southwest.

Saturday's game is also Susan G. Komen night at the arena. Fans are encouraged to wear pink in honor of breast cancer awareness. At halftime of the game, former Green Bay Packer great, Marco Rivera, will be honored.

Rivera, in town to see his Packer's take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV on Sunday at Cowboys Stadium, is a member of the class of 2011 Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame. The three-time Pro Bowler will be available to sign autographs throughout the game.

Following the game on Saturday night, the party will continue into downtown Dallas. Anyone with a ticket stub to the Legends game on Saturday will get access to the Packers Fan Night at Gilley's.

Then, kick off your Super Bowl Sunday in grand fashion with the Legends. Texas will host the Erie BayHawks at 2:00 PM on Sunday afternoon in the first match up between the two teams in franchise history and Sunday's only game on the NBA D-League schedule.

With everything from football themed challenges in the Kid Zones to the "Kids Combine," there will be no shortage of football fun at Dr Pepper Arena during the afternoon of the big game.

Anybody who wears their favorite football jersey to the game on Sunday will receive one complimentary ticket to that afternoon's game. Also, as a Super Bowl Sunday concession special, just $6 will get fans two hot dogs and a 20-ounce beer (excluding Widmer).

With the Legends Sunday game set to tip-off at 2:00 PM, and an expected final buzzer around 4:30 PM, fans should have plenty of time to get to their Super Bowl watch parties in time for kick-off, which is around 5:30 PM CT.

Great tickets for all Legends home games are still available by calling (214) 469-0822 or emailing the team at info@TexLegends.com.
