UTAH'S ORIEN GREENE SIGNS WITH NEW JERSEY

Guard Earns 2010-11 NBA D-League Season's Seventh GATORADE Call-Up

The New Jersey Nets signed guard Orien Greene of the Utah Flash for the seventh GATORADE Call-Up of the 2010-11 NBA Development League season. Greene's call-up increases the number of current NBA players with NBA D-League experience, including players currently on assignment to their NBA D-League affiliates, to 88. Utah's leading scorer, Greene averaged 18.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 2.0 steals in 24 games (all starts). Greene has scored in double figures in all but one of his games this season, and is among the league leaders in scoring average (8th), steals per game (7th) and minutes per game (36.3, 7th).

RIO GRANDE VALLEY'S JEFF ADRIEN NAMED NBA DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Jeff Adrien of the Rio Grande Valley Vipers has been named NBA Development League Player of the Month for games played in January. The honor, the second of the 2010-11 season, is the first for Adrien, and the first for Rio Grande Valley this season. Adrien, a 6-7, 240-pound forward out of Connecticut who played 15 games with the Golden State Warriors this season, led the Vipers to a 10-1 record in January, averaging 20.7 points, 12.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists. Adrien recorded a double-double in all but one game last month, and had highs of 31 points against the Austin Toros on Jan. 8 and 16 rebounds against the Erie BayHawks on Jan. 12.

Jerel McNeal had 27 points, five rebounds and seven assists, while Richard Roby added 22 points, leading Rio Grande Valley over Iowa. Othyus Jeffers led the Energy with 26 points, and Chris Lofton chipped in 23 points.

Dar Tucker's 25 points and eight rebounds led New Mexico to the home win over Texas. Dominique Johnson led the Legends with 31 points, while Joe Alexander added 27 points, and Antonio Daniels had 15 points and 11 assists.

ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at NBA D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:

18 players with NBA D-League experience competed in four NBA games last night, two as starters.

Washington's Andray Blatche had 21 points and nine rebounds in a loss to the Hornets.

Sacramento's Donte Greene had 15 points in a loss to the Celtics.

Houston's Aaron Brooks had 16 points and eight assists in a loss to the Lakers.
