
Legends Acquire Derrick Griffin

FRISCO, TX - The Texas Legends acquired forward Derrick Griffin from the available player pool.
Griffin (6-7, 230, Texas Southern) played two seasons at TSU averaging 12.7 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks in 40 career games. As a freshman, the Rosenberg, Texas native was named SWAC Player of the Year, 1st Team All-Conference, Defensive Player of the Year, and Newcomer of the Year.
In 2018, Griffin joined the South Bay Lakers through local tryouts and averaged 5.5 points, 3.5 rebounds in 10.6 minutes per game. The following season he joined the Stockton Kings for 24 games and most recently played 2 games with the Salt Lake City Stars earlier this season.
