Greensboro Swarm News Release

The Lakeland Magic, NBA G League affiliate of the Orlando Magic, defeated the Greensboro Swarm 107-97 at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland.

The Lakeland Magic defense forced Greensboro to under 40 percent shooting from the field and kept the Swarm under 100 points on the night. Hassani Gravett made his first three of four shots from behind the arch on his way to 11 first-quarter points and helped the Magic take a double-digit lead early. Swarm two-way player Arnoldas Kulboka and LiAngelo Ball answered with an outside shooting barrage of their own in the second quarter to help cut the Swarm deficit in half at the break.

JT Thor and Kai Jones were on assignment from the Charlotte Hornets and combined for 29 points and 14 rebounds. The duo powered Greensboro in the third quarter as the Swarm regained the lead. Aleem Ford and Janis Timma's sharp shooting fueled a fourth quarter Magic rally as Lakeland stormed back in front. Jeff Dowtin continued his stellar play for Lakeland, once again pacing the Magic with a game-high 20 points. In the closing minute of the game, Devin Cannady hit a thirty-foot dagger to help seal the win for Lakeland.

Dowtin finished with 20 points, nine assists and seven rebounds. Ford added 19 points, including five threes and six rebounds. Timma had the best game of his young Magic career, posting 17 points and six rebounds in his third outing with Lakeland.

Thor scored 16 points and six rebounds to lead the Swarm. Kulboka finished with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Jalen Crutcher added 13 points, seven assists and three rebounds.
