Herd Suffers Loss at Home

OSHKOSH, Wis. - The Wisconsin Herd, the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, lost to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants 113-110. The Herd led by six points at the end of the third quarter, but the Mad Ants hit seven unanswered points to go ahead early in the fourth quarter. There were five lead changes until the Mad Ants pulled away to win by three.
Rayjon Tucker led the Herd with 26 points while Jalen Lecque added 18. Javin DeLaurier posted a double-double with a team season-high 19 rebounds and 14 points.
Justin Anderson led the Mad Ants with 29 points followed by Nate Hinton with 22 points.
The Mad Ants took the lead with the first bucket of the game and continued to build their lead by 7 with four minutes left in the first quarter. The Herd pulled within two, but the Mad Ants hung on at the end of the first quarter 32-27.
The Herd scored four points at the beginning of the second quarter to bring them within one. Rayjon Tucker converted a three-point play to tie the game 37-37. Tiwian Kendley scored a layup to put the Herd in the lead for the first time 46-45. Jalen Lecque hit a three to put the Herd up by 11 with three and a half minutes left in the second quarter. The Herd finished the half 66-57. Rayjon Tucker led the Herd with 18 points in the first half.
The two teams traded baskets keeping the Herd up by 11 with six minutes left in the third quarter. The Herd built their lead to 90-77 with two minutes left. At the end of the third quarter, the Herd was up 90-84.
The Mad Ants scored seven unanswered points to take the lead 91-90 with ten and a half minutes left in the fourth quarter. Jalen Lecque knocked down a three to put the Herd ahead 93-91. The Mad Ants went up 96-95 but Tiwian Kendley answered with a two to put the Herd back ahead 97-96. The Mad Ants took the lead back and went up 104-99 with four minutes left. Tremont Waters hit a three to put the Herd within three with one minute left. The Mad Ants won 113-110.
The Wisconsin Herd will play on the road against the Maine Celtics on Thursday, February 10 with tip-off set for 6:00 p.m. CST.
