Jersey Shore BlueClaws News Release
ABERDEEN, MD - Marcus Lee Sang had a three-run double and the BlueClaws topped Aberdeen 6-3 on Thursday night at Leidos Field.
Jersey Shore (4-8) has won back-to-back games after dropping the first of the series in Aberdeen (5-7).
Jud Fabian's RBI single in the first inning off Jordan Fowler opened the scoring but the BlueClaws quickly responded with four runs in the second inning.
Troy Schreffler walked with the bases loaded to level the score at 1-1. The lineup then flipped over and Marcus Lee Sang smoked a 3-run double down the left field line to clear the bases and give the BlueClaws a 4-1 lead. Hao Yu Lee doubled home a run in the fifth inning to push the BlueClaws lead to 5-1.
Fowler (1-0), meanwhile, was excellent. The southpaw gave up one run in five innings, allowing just four hits. Rodolfo Sanchez threw a scoreless sixth inning and Tristan Garnett threw a scoreless eighth for the BlueClaws.
Casey Martin drove in Jersey Shore's sixth run with an 8th inning RBI double.
Wilfredo Flores had two hits for his third straight game. Flores has hit safely in six straight games going 10-24 over that stretch.
Aberdeen starter Jake Lyons (0-1) gave up four runs in 1.2 innings and took the loss.
The teams continue their series on Friday night at 7:05 pm. The BlueClaws return home Tuesday to welcome in the Brooklyn Cyclones.
