Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the International Hockey League, announce that forward Rick Cleaver has been named the league's Aquafina Rookie of the Week for the period ending November 30th.

Cleaver celebrated the Thanksgiving weekend delivering three points (2 goals and 1 assist) in three games for the K-Wings.

Four days after netting his first pro goal, Cleaver continued to find the net scoring in two of Kalamazoo's three games this week.

Playing both sides of the rink, Cleaver finished the week with plus/minus rating of +3. Joining the K-Wings on November 7th, the native of Port McNeill, British Columbia finished the month with a +12, which ranks second in the league, behind teammate Mark Nebus, who leads the league at +13.

A first-time recipient of the league's top rookie weekly honor, Cleaver is the third player from Kalamazoo this season and the fifth overall to be named Aquafina Rookie of the Week.

Kalamazoo will continue their five-game road swing this Thursday, December 4th with a 7:30 p.m. face-off against the Flint Generals.

The K-Wings will return to Wings Stadium Friday, December 12th with a 7:30 p.m. encounter versus the Generals.
