Winnipeg Goldeyes News Release
Winnipeg's visit to Kansas City this week will not only be its final one for the regular season, it will be an interesting one as well.
By virtue of two suspended contests last month, the Goldeyes and T-Bones will do battle five times over less than 48 hours beginning tonight at 7:00 with the completion of the June 23 contest.
In that game, the Goldeyes are batting in the top of the eleventh with one out and nobody on in a 4-4 tie. Shortly after that game is final, the clubs will play a standard nine-inning game.
Action resumes Wednesday night at 6:00 with the completion of the June 24 contest. In that game, the Goldeyes trail 1-0 entering the top of the third of a seven-inning game. It will be played as such with another seven-inning game to follow.
The series concludes on Thursday at 11 a.m. with a standard nine-inning game. From there, the Goldeyes head to Schaumburg for three games with the Flyers before returning home next Tuesday to open a six-game homestand.
Great seats for all Goldeyes games start at just $5 and are available at all Ticketmaster locations, including the ballpark box office, by calling 780-3333 or visiting ticketmaster.ca.
