MANCHESTER, NH - Goaltender David LeNeveu stopped all 37 shots he faced as the Manchester Monarchs were shutout, 2-0, by the Hartford Wolf Pack at the Verizon Wireless Arena on Friday evening.

Manchester (43-19-2-6) leads the Atlantic Division with 94 points. Hartford (31-31-1-6) is ranked third in the Northeast Division with 69 points.

"(LeNeveu) had a good game, but we made him look pretty good too," said Monarchs Head Coach Mark Morris. "We had at least four breakaways tonight and we didn't do a great job gritting it out in front of him. We were too perimeter, and he saw a lot of pucks, and if you are going to play on the perimeter that is an easy way to defend."

The two teams skated to a scoreless tie throughout the first half of the game before Hartford struck with the eventual game-winning goal from right wing Danny Kristo at 7:25 of the second period. The goal was set up by defenseman Conor Allen from the blueline to the right corner where center T.J. Hensick was stationed. Hensick sent the puck from the right corner to Kristo in front of the net. The right wing deked around goaltender J.F. Berube, beating the sprawling netminder over the glove for his 22nd goal of the season.

The Wolf Pack capitalized on a penalty to Monarchs defenseman Kevin Gravel with a power play goal at 13:34 of the middle frame. Allen sent a pass to center Oscar Lindberg at the top of the left face-off circle. Lindberg quickly sent a pass to defenseman Aaron Johnson at the point. Johnson sent a quick wrist shot toward the net which was inadvertently deflected by Monarchs defenseman Derek Forbort, beating Berube over the right pad making the score 2-0. Johnson's fifth goal of the season added an insurance tally for the Wolf Pack.

Berube (26-16-2) took his 16th loss of the season, stopping 14-of-16 shots. LeNeveu (7-8-0) tallied is seventh win of the season, stopping all 37 shots he faced.

Manchester was 0-for-5 on the power play. Hartford went 1-for-3 on the man advantage.
