Layton Back, Hendrikx Called Up

Allen Texas- The Allen Americans of the Central Hockey League announced several roster moves that will affect Tuesday night's game with the Quad City Mallards.

The Americans welcome back rookie forward Nick Layton from the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League. Nick Layton played in four games for Texas Stars during his AHL call-up. He played in 50 games for the Americans and has been one of the top producing rookies in the CHL registering 36 points (13 goals 23 assists).

The Americans also announced on Tuesday that defenseman Trevor Hendrikx has been called up to Hamilton of the American Hockey League. Hendrikx in 45 games for Allen has 13 points, (5 goals 8 assists) and is a plus seven.

Allen put injured forward Aaron McGill on waivers Monday evening. McGill a native of Salem, Oregon played in just seven games for the Americans this season before suffering an injury.

The Allen Americans begin a busy week on Tuesday night with the first ever meeting between the Americans and Quad City Mallards. The two clubs will also play Thursday night at the Allen Event Center; both games get underway at 7:05 PM. Allen travels to Laredo on Friday night for a 7:30 contest, before returning home Saturday night to host Missouri.
