5 Things to Know about #LAvDAL

Road Trip

FC Dallas' matchup with the Galaxy is the first of a three-game road trip. After a home draw with the Vancouver Whitecaps on Sunday, FCD needs to make the most of its upcoming opportunities and pick up points away from Toyota Stadium. Dallas is currently 0-3-0 on its travels in 2021 but will have a chance to improve on that beginning Wednesday night.

Quick Turnaround

Wednesday's match comes just three days after FCD played to a 2-2 draw with the Whitecaps on Sunday night. So, FCD had to be quick in terms of its recovery and preparation. Thankfully for Dallas, the Galaxy also played Sunday night (2-0 defeat to Sporting KC), so the teams will be on a relatively even playing field.

Leading Scorer

Eighteen-year-old Ricardo Pepi added his fifth goal of the season on Sunday to become FCD's leading scorer in 2021. The El Paso native has scored the last four goals for FC Dallas (excluding own goals). Pepi is the first player to score four straight goals (excluding own goals) for FC Dallas since Roland Lamah in May-June 2017.

Against LA

FC Dallas' all-time regular season record against LA is 28-34-12 (105 GF, 126 GA). Dallas' away record against the club is 7-25-5 (38 GF, 74 GA). Dallas' last game against the Galaxy was a 2-0 loss at Dignity Health Sports Park on Aug. 14, 2019.

About LA

The Galaxy started the season with four wins from its first five games and is in third place in the Western Conference. Last time out, the club fell 2-0 to conference leaders Sporting Kansas City at home. Galaxy forward Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez is the league's leading scorer with 10 goals from 10 games.
