New York Boulders News Release
The Rockland Boulders rallied in the final frame but came out on the short end of a 5-3 decision against the Ottawa Champions at Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton Park in Ontario, Canada.
After winning four of their first five games on the current seven-game road trip, Rockland could not find an answer for Champions starter Austin Chrismon, who worked six scoreless innings to take the win.
Former Ottawa centerfielder Chase Harris continued to shine against his previous squad, going 4-for-4 after recording a pair of hits in Tuesday's series opener. Harris drove in Rockland's first run with an infield hit in the ninth, and Collin Ferguson brought home two more with a single as the visitors put the tying runs on base before falling. Pasquale Mazzoccoli started and took the loss for the Boulders.
The rubber game of the three-game series will take place on Thursday in a 7:05 pm start before the Boulders return to Rockland to open a 6-game homestand on Friday night against the Quebec Capitales in a 7:00 pm start at Palisades Credit Union Park.
