Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
The Crosscutters saw an early, multi-run lead dissolve for the second- straight night. Their 9th inning rally came up short, falling 6-4 in the middle game of the series.
Colton Eastman worked two scoreless frames in the front end of the piggy-back start. Jack Perkins retired all six batters he faced in the back end of the piggy back. Neither factored into the decision.
Seth Lancaster had a team-high two RBI on the night, finishing 1 for 3. Matt Kroon had the only multi-hit performance of the night for Williamsport, going 2-3. Ben Aklinski and Keudy Bocio also recorded RBI in the losing effort.
Not counting Jack Perkins, the Crosscutters used four different relievers to work the final five innings.
Robinsin Martinez, Abdallah Aris, Tyler Carr and Oscar Marcelino were all called upon. Martinez and Aris combined to allow all six runs scored by the Renegades.
Williamsport falls to 8-13 on the road as their overall record drops to 10-games under .500, at 15-25. The Cutters have never finished under .500 with Pat Borders being the manager.
