
Las Vegas Lights FC Signs Defender Themi Antonoglou

Las Vegas Lights FC today announced that the Club has signed defender Themi Antonoglou, pending league and federation approval.
Antonoglou is under contract with the Lights through the 2026 season with a club option for 2027.
The 24-year-old left back has racked up considerable professional experience in his young career, with 130 total appearances across MLS and the Canadian Premier League, among other competitions. He made 29 appearances for Canadian Premier League side Valour FC throughout 2025, contributing with two goals and seven assists.
"We're thrilled to welcome Themi to the Lights, a dynamic left back with significant experience in MLS and the Canadian Premier League," said Sporting Director Gianleonardo Neglia. "He's the type of player who can drive attacks from the back and generate significant goalscoring opportunities. His ability as an attack-minded left back is an exciting prospect, and we're looking forward to integrating him into the squad during preseason."
A product of the Toronto FC academy, which he joined in 2015, Antonoglou made his professional debut for Toronto FC's second team against Richmond Kickers on August 17, 2019. He tallied 58 appearances for the Young Reds across four years, contributing an impressive ten goals and ten assists.
He was part of the Toronto FC squad that won the 2020 Canadian Championship against Forge FC on penalties (5-4) in 2022 (postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic).
Antonoglou made his first team debut on April 24, 2022, in a 5-4 defeat to New York City FC on the road. After 15 matches across all competitions for Toronto FC, he joined Canadian Premier League club Valour FC in 2024.
With the Winnipeg side Antonoglou made 57 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals and giving out 16 assists. In 2024, he led the Canadian Premier League in assists, alongside Forge's Kyle Bekker, with seven. In 2025, he led Valour in assists (6) and chances created (38).
