Albuquerque Isotopes News Release
The Albuquerque Isotopes dropped their third straight game, falling 4-3 to the Las Vegas 51s in Spring Training action today in Jupiter, Florida. Albuquerque's Spring Training record now stands at 4-3-1.
Marlins utility infielder Aaron Boone, on-loan from the Major League club, singled and scored a run to help pace the 'Topes, while Scott Seabol contributed a sacrifice fly.
Infielder Josh Labandeira continued his hot spring with two hits, and Chris Ashby made an excellent defensive play late in the game in right field, throwing out a runner at the plate to keep the 'Topes within a run at 4-3.
Albuquerque's roster was also bolstered today by two familiar names that were reassigned from Major League camp. Infielder Joe Dillon, who starred for the 'Topes in 2004 and 2005, joined the team along with catcher Nick Trzesniak, who came to Albuquerque via a trade with the Rangers late in the 2006 season.
The Isotopes continue Spring Training play tomorrow, taking on the Memphis Redbirds in Jupiter.
Albuquerque begins its 2007 Triple-A All-Star campaign on April 5th. Individual game tickets, season tickets and mini-plans are now on sale at Isotopes Park. Season ticket and mini-plan holders have the opportunity to purchase their same seats for the All-Star Fiesta and are encouraged to do so quickly.
