The Harrisburg Senators announced today that Richard Lane is back on the Senators' roster. It has been a long road back for Lane who started the season in Harrisburg. Lane played in 31 games before landing on the Disabled List with an abdominal injury on May 14th.
With the Senators in 2005, Lane was batting .223 with 1 home run and 7 RBI's.
On his road back to Harrisburg, Lane played for the Gulf Coast League Nationals and hit .391 in seven games. He also scored six runs with no homers and 1 RBI.
Lane then played for single-A Savannah where he appeared in 10 games. He was batting .389 on 14-36 hitting with 1 home run and 8 RBI's.
With the addition of Lane, Harrisburg currently has 23 active players, one below the maximum limit allowed by the Eastern League.
