Lancers F Casey Bailey Commits to Penn State

OMAHA, NE - The Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) are pleased to announce that forward Casey Bailey has committed to Penn State University and will join the Nittany Lions in the Fall of 2012. A native of Anchorage, Alaska, Bailey is in his first season with the Lancers and has tallied three points (one goal, two assists) through the first eight games of the 2011-2012 season.

The 6'3", 195 pound power forward spent the last two seasons with the Alberni Valley Bulldogs of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) where he registered 82 points (41 goals, 41 assists) in 111 career games. Bailey was selected 41st overall (Round 3) by Omaha in the 2011 USHL Entry Draft.

Five other players currently on USHL rosters are already committed to Penn State including F Kenny Brooks (TRI), G Eamon McAdam (WAT), G Matt Skoff (SC), D Connor Varley (DM) and D Mark Yanis (MUS). Bailey will also join former Lancers forward Bryce Johnson when the Penn State men's ice hockey program moves into the Division I ranks next Fall.

Omaha (4-3-1, 9 pts.) returns to action Friday evening when the Lancers head to Kearney, Nebraska for their first showdown of the season with the Tri-City Storm. Omaha then returns home to the Omaha Civic Auditorium Saturday and Sunday for contests with the Dubuque Fighting Saints and Chicago Steel.
